Abstract
Relying on cheap labor resources and inserting into global value chain on the way of software OEM from the lowend of the software service outsourcing industry value chain, is considered to be a shortcut for our country's software service outsourcing enterprises to get into the global division of labor system, gain the profits and realize the technological progress. However there is a big risk in this shortcut. At present, China's software service outsourcing industry presents a momentum of rapid development, but it also faces the risk of being captured in different degrees which called the capture governance mode in global value chain. At the same time, some problems appeared during the regional industry development, such as policy, means homogeneity, target homogeneity, customer homogeneity and so on, which seriously restricts the regional industry developing healthy and orderly. In the long term, the software service outsourcing industry in China must find some paths and strategy to break through the bondage of capture governance pattern, be targeted to plan and promote the construction and development of regional industrial echelon, as well as speed up the capacity and the pace of industrial upgrading, thus promote the industry developing healthy and rapidly.
Based on the research perspective of global value chain, national competitiveness of industry, industrial transfer, industrial echelon and regional competitive advantage, and regards the software service outsourcing industry in China as the research object, this book explores the path and strategy to break through the capture governance in global value chain and to realize the industry upgrading for software service outsourcing industry from three aspects: national, industry, enterprise.
First, based on the theory of value chain model, smile curve model, and business development market cycle curve model, the book build the global value chain model for software service outsourcing industry from three perspectives.
Second, standing at the national level, based on the porter diamond model, build China's software service outsourcing “double diamond model”, and analyze the national competitiveness of software service outsourcing industry in China.
Third, standing at the industry level, based on panel data and clustering analysis method, take an empirical research on the upgrading ability and development echelon of software service outsourcing industry for 28 provinces.
Fourth, standing on the enterprise level, based on the theory of asset specificity and global value chain upgrading, carry an empirical research on the upgrading ability of the software service outsourcing enterprise and construct the structural equation model of the impact of assets input to enterprise upgrading ability.
Fifth, standing on the position of buyer and supplier respectively, analyze the opportunity and strategy that software service outsourcing industry can realize transfer.
Sixth, standing on the position of the secondtier cities, based on data envelopment analysis, take a comparative analysis on the undertake efficiency relatively of software service outsourcing in secondtier demonstration cities.
Seventh, based on the questionnaire survey data, analyze the current situation of software service outsourcing industry in Wuhan, and put forward the development strategy.
Eighth, from the characteristics of software service outsourcing industry and the principle of main functional areas construction, have a research on the interactive development strategy of software service outsourcing industry and manufacturing as well as industry and region.
